Completed the site with an English section and added a Backstory, for those who are coming here for the first time.
Long or short... I started to develop an expansion board for Raspberry Pi Zero. There will be a separate Hat with a own MC to drive IR channel, as well as for receiving commands from the 433mHz remote.
After some accumulated experience of operation it became clear that processing of IR commands takes a considerable part of CPU time (especially on older version of RPi). So I decided to put the control part in a separate modue and transmit converted ready-to-uses commands via UART. In addition, this approach will allow to add independent IR receiver and transmitter (for TV control) as well as a sound mixer in a pair with a wireless galvanicaly isolated saudio transmitter, for using with a video projector for example.
There is also an idea to attach an RF TV transmitter with a frequency generator based on Si5351 (so that it would be possible to change the broadcast channel in a wide range + use the whole thing as an general FM/AM transmitter). But so far other projects take up all my free time now. Working on it...
Due to the influx of people wanting to get their hands on a copy of the device, I'm considering two options:
Regardless of the chosen option, I would like to see if there are OEM suppliers of that enclosure. In case there are, customization could be ordered.
If you have any suggestions or comments, please use the email listed in the left column below. In the future I would try to take time to make comments directly in the feed so that we could discuss ideas publicly.
